Christmas sour cream containers

Hello there crafters,
I hope you're enjoying this last weekend of 2013 and getting ready for 2014 to roll in.
I have another of my 3D Christmas projects to share with you.
It's a small sour cream container - I made more than 30 of those and I have to say they came together pretty quickly and easily and they were much appreciated by the recipients.
The colour combo I used is dark blue and silver (love it!). I embossed the cardstock with a script embossing folder, folded it into shape, punched 2 holes on one side and tied a label with some silver string. The label says "Don't open 'til Dec. 25" and it's an old Sizzix label I've had for quite some time, but always one of my favourites at Christmas time. I used some silver cardstock for the label.
Each container was filled with some chocolate - everybody is crazy about chocolate treats and loves receiving some.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice Sunday you all.

Hugs,
Vittoria

Christmas projects

Hello there,
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas day with your dear ones.
As usual, I haven't had much time recently to post here on my blog. Spare time is always scarce, I would need an 8th day of the week, tee hee!! :D I did manage to complete some Christmas projects, though. Here is one which was made for a couple of special co-workers - I filled the small boxes with Ferrero Rocher chocolate, yum! For the caddy and the milk carton I used a template from Papertrey Ink. They sell great templates for a fairly reasonable price, and once put together they look awesome.
The Christmas sentiment stamps are from Lily of the Valley, which I cut out using Spellbinders circles dies.
They fit perfectly on the cartons. Ribbon, button, baker's twine and rhinestones are all from my stash.

I have a couple more projects to show you, so stay tuned! :D

Have a nice rest of the day and thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Vittoria

White card

Hello there crafters!
Ugh, I haven't posted a line here in ages, sorry about that! But life is always hectic here and I have more projects in mind than time on my hands.
I have managed to put together a lovely all-white card which will go with a wedding gift - I used my Spellbinders Filigree dies, white cardstock, white ribbon and pearls from my stash ... et voilà, the card was done! I also tied a small tag to the ribbon, still have to find the right sentiment though.

It's raining heavily here today, I hope you're having a lovely weekend wherever you are!

Thanks for visiting!

Westie corner bookmark

Hi crafters!
I haven't done much crafting lately as it's too hot here to sit in my craft room, ugh! It seems that a heat wave is hitting Europe these days and meteorologists say Wednesday will be the hottest day of the summer, phew!
Anyhow, my colleague saw one on my corner bookmarks the other day and asked me whether I would make one for her, too. Of couse I gladly did, as a bookamrk is a quick and easy project, so not much effort involved. My colleague is a dog owner like me, I made her this cute Westie bookmark to remind her of her dog. The Westie is a lovely digital image from Justinklined, a lovely site selling cute digital stamps and with lots of frrebies, too, so surely worth a visit! All the other supplies are form my stash - gingham ribbon, button, carstock and so on. If you have any questions let me know.

Have a lovely and fresh weekend if you can!

Hugs, Vittoria

Another box

Hello there stampers!
I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. The 3-D mania continues even this week, and in fact I have another box to share with you today. Once again I used a tutorial from Spellbinders as I needed a box to hold some chocolate for 2 colleagues who are always kind and ready to help.
I used a turquoise ribbon just like in the tutorial because that way it reminds me of those cute and precious Tiffany boxes we girls all love to receive, don't we? :-)
Anyhow, my small present was much appreciated, more the box than the treats inside - the power of packaging, ha! If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend you all!

Origami box

Hello there crafters!
I have another 3D project to share with you today (I seem to be in a "3D object" phase these days!!). It's a cute origami box which I made from a 12x12 sheet of double sided designer paper. I created a lid as well and decorated it with some stuff I had in my stash - paper flower, ribbon, pearls, lace and so on. It is a good size box and it can be easily used for small gifts or treats. I'm planning to make a few for Christmas with a holiday theme - I'm sure they will make great Christmas gifts once filled with chocolate goodies!! :D
In case you're interested in making one of these boxes yourself, here is the tutorial I found and followed on YouTube. It's easy and lots of fun, especially the decorating part, of course!

Thanks a lot for visiting.
Have a great weekend.

Cute backpacks

Hello there stampers!
Some weeks ago a friend of mine asked me to create a couple of cute boxes for the end-of-school gift to the her son's 2 teachers. She told me the gift the whole classroom had bought was a lovely bracelet, therefore a small box was fine.
For the occasion I decided to create 2 backpack boxes which I had seen on Splitcoaststampers (you can find the tutorial here)- considering the gift was for 2 teachers, I thought it very appropriate! So here is what I came up with - not bad for a first attempt, huh? They were pretty easy to put together and I used all things I already had in my stash - cardstock, ribbon, eyelets, designer paper etc. I love it when I can use what I already have , which is a lot, ermm....!
My friend was very happy and so were all the other mums, great!:D

Thanks for visiting and have a nice weekend you all!

Spellbinders to the rescue!

As you can guess from the dates of my posts, I haven't had much time for crafting since the beginning of the year. Something else always had priority, so when I suddenly needed a card for a colleague leaving for another office, my box of ready made cards was empty and I had to put one together quickly. Spellbinders dies are great for quick cards as they do all the work for you. You just have to cut, assemble, add a few embellishments and a sentiment .. et voilà, the card is done! :D The sentiment is from Lily of the Valley. I've done another card like this but in pink and cream, so I have something ready if the need suddenly arises.

Have a nice beginning of week and thanks for stopping by.

Long time no post!

Hello everyone!!!
So sorry it's been so long since I posted here :-( But crazy life often gets in the way, you know!
I finally was able to finish a project, and here is what I came up with.
I had a very feminine birthday card in mind, with soft shades of pink and grey, plus lace, flower and pearls, of course! I used quite a few Spellbinders dies for this card, it's not a secret that I'm crazy about them. Lace and satin ribbon are from my stash and so is the little charm on the bow which says "Made with love" - so cute!
I'm entering this card in the following challenge:

Have a nice evening!

Cinderella

Hello crafters!
The theme for the current challenge at Saturated Canary is "Movie inspiration" and I was inspired by Cinderella for this card. Same layout and colours of my previous card, these light blues are perfect for Cinderella, which in my case is not a blondie but a brunette!! The digital image I used is "Thank you", absolutely adorable! It was coloured with Copics, what else? :D

Have a nice beginning of week and happy crafting!

January blues

Hello there stampers!
I hope you have had a wonderful and creative weekend!
I've finally managed to finish a nice card in a colour combination that I love, love, love: butter and light blue. The focal image was created with a Penny Black stamp "Words like flowers", the newest addition to my collection. As the Penny Black Saturday challenge is "Janaury blues" this month, I decided to stamp it in light brown ink on light blue cardstock and embossed it (hence the glare in the photo, sorry!). The image was then cut out using Spellbinders petit oval nestabilities. Button, ribbon and flowers are from my stash, and so is the sentiment stamp. I also used a Martha Stewart punch to create a decorated border and sponged all the edges with brown ink. The papers I used are digital and love them, I think I will be using them for another card. Stickles were added to the flowers - some bling cannot be missing, can it? ;-)

I'll be entering this card in the following challenges:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - January Blues

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything goes

Have a nice evening and thanks for stopping by!

No more shells!

Hello there stampers!
I have a lovely card to share with you today. It was made a while ago when my colleagues and I were attending a course of legal English. Our teachers Jean always told us not to use the verb SHALL when drafting our legal documents as it's old fashioned and no longer used now. So here is the card I came up with for her at the end of the course, playing on the words SHALL/SHELL. The pun and humour were surely appreciated! :D The images I used here are digital stamps, which I coloured with Copics. The designer papers are digital, too. Brads, button and ribbon are from my stash - the card base was made using my favourite cardstock colour: chocolate brown, love it! Some glitter here and there completed the card. I love squared cards, I seem to be addicted to them these days. They look so nice and elegant.

Thanks for stopping by and come back again soon!
Have a nice beginning of week.

Happy 2013!

Hello there my friends,
and first of all happy New Year to you all!! I hope 2013 will bring you everything you are longing for!
I have a quick card to share with you today, and it's a winter card.
The stamp I used in one of my favourites from Whipper Snapper Designs, "Shovelling snowman" which was coloured in light blues and greens with Copics. The 3-D snowflakes were made with Spellbinders dies, I guess it's "Snowflake 1". We had more than 30 cm (12 inches) of snow here right before Christmas, and more snow is forecast for tonight, so this card is perfect! The flash of my camera didn't work while I was taking the photo, so the glitter I put on the snowflakes and on the snow do not shows, aargh!! Why do I always struggle with my photos?

Thanks for visiting and have a brilliant beginning of the year! :D
